On Thursday, Frontier Communications’ CEO Mark Scott announced that Frontier will be using its own data center in New Jersey to store and distribute its customers’ communications for a period of five years.
“We’re committed to building a world-class communications platform that delivers on our vision of the future, and this is just the beginning of a long-term commitment to build that platform,” Scott said.
“In the coming months, Frontier will expand our footprint in New York City, build a new data center and launch a new service in Texas.
We look forward to building our infrastructure and supporting our customers’ needs.”
Frontier Communications CEO Mark Walker said the company is excited about the opportunity to build its infrastructure in New New Jersey and is committed to making Frontier a place where the world’s top companies work, innovate and grow.
The company’s data center is located in the City of Trenton, NJ, which is a major telecommunications hub in the New York metropolitan area.
Frontier’s facility will be located in an area of New Jersey that is home to two of Frontier’s largest cities, Trenton and Trenton Township.
Frontier will lease space at the facility for a five-year period.
Frontier CEO Mark Ritchie said Frontier is investing in new technologies and is building an infrastructure that is more resilient and flexible to meet the needs of customers and to ensure they have a better experience in communications.
Frontier said the facilities will support Frontier’s expansion to expand and expand to new markets.
“Our customers are our most important customer, and we’re excited to be building a communications platform to support them,” Ritchie added.
“The Frontier communications infrastructure is built to deliver the right level of service and capacity for our customers and we have built this facility to meet their demands.”
Scott said Frontier’s new facility will support more than 5,000 Frontier customers.
“When we began this journey with Frontier Communications in 2015, we set out to build a facility that could be used to meet our needs and meet our customers needs.
Now, with this facility, we’re able to do that, and that means we can meet the demands of our customers,” Scott told reporters at a press conference.
Frontier has been using data centers in Texas since 2007.
Frontier is one of several telecommunications companies that have announced plans to use data centers for data storage.
Earlier this year, Verizon announced that it would be using a data center on the Atlantic Ocean near its corporate headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.
The announcement came after Verizon acquired its data center from an Australian company in 2016.
The news comes just weeks after AT&T announced plans for its own $300 million data center near New York’s Midtown Manhattan.
AT&X announced in April that it had signed a 10-year contract with Frontier to store its customers data for five years, but the carrier has yet to announce its data storage location.
