It was a busy day at the New Wave communications conference in Sydney, Australia, when I attended a panel on the latest advances in mobile phone communications.
It was packed and filled with speakers from a variety of companies, from the big players like Vodafone, Virgin Australia and Telstra to smaller players like Qantas and BSkyB.
In the room were some of the most prominent New Wave pioneers and innovators, including New Wave founder Tim Berners-Lee, who founded the project with fellow Canadian John Baez.
“The first thing I thought was that we need to do something that we can’t do in a phone booth, in a hotel room,” Berners.
“It’s like being a rock star.”
New Wave Communications is a non-profit organization, but Berners Lee has built a company from scratch and is using that to create a communications system that will revolutionize the way we communicate in the 21st century.
He said the NewWave system was originally intended to be used in airports, where people could communicate via cellphones but now they can do so on their computers.
“I’m just saying this system is going to change how we communicate,” Berns-Lee said.
“In fact, the system has the potential to change the way you communicate with other people in a way that we don’t even know what we are doing.”
The technology behind New Wave’s communication system is based on what’s called an advanced persistent memory (APM).
It’s a memory that has a persistent state.
You have an old message on your device, and you remember it.
But you don’t need to store it in memory.
Berns said the technology could eventually be used to store messages and content for any device.
Berns-Lees team has been working on the technology for years and developed it using their own research and expertise.
Berners said the company was working on software and hardware that will allow for the ability to store a user’s location and other data.
“You can use it to create the sort of personalised content that we want, that will have to be stored and delivered to your phone or whatever device you have on your phone,” he said.
The technology can store images, videos, and audio from the internet, and can be configured to store content in the form of audio and video.
The technology can also act as a persistent storage unit, which means that it can be used for more than one person.
There are a number of advantages to the technology, Berns explained.
For one, it will allow people to have a better understanding of their location and their time zone, which will be useful for travel.
It also provides the ability for people to create their own personalised communication messages and videos.
“You could do a lot of stuff with it.
I could create a message for myself,” Berned said.
New Wave is using its technology to provide real-time video feeds to people in remote areas and is also planning to expand the technology to offer video conferencing services.
Berned explained that if you are in an airport and have to use a phone to call a friend or family member, you can then upload your own video feeds onto the internet and broadcast them over a WiFi network.
He said that it is the future of mobile communications and that people have a right to know how they can better communicate.
“We can create a system that is so powerful and so simple that people can communicate with each other in the same way as they would with a phone,” Bernes said.
