Coach Guy Bouchers wants to see the Leafs score at least one goal in their first preseason contest.
In their first three preseason games, they’ve scored only two goals.
So Boucher said he wants to be one goal away from that goal.
“We’re going to get some luck out of it, and we want to play as hard as we can,” Boucher told the Toronto Sun’s Mike Petriello after Friday’s practice.
“It’s something that we’ll see.
If it happens, it happens.
It’s part of the game.
We just have to play with it.”
There is no official date yet for the Leafs to play in the first preseason exhibition, which starts on Wednesday.
But the Senators announced Thursday that they will open training camp Monday.
